The Purdue Instructional Technology Certificated Hub (PITCH) was adapted from the Online and Blended Teaching Hub, which was originally created by Project TIME, Teaching Innovations in Multimodal Education, a multidisciplinary initiative of Purdue University and its partners. Project TIME was funded by an Indiana GEER grant (Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund), entitled “Becoming an Online Teacher Even When I Didn’t Sign Up for It.” See the relevant news story for more details.
The goal of this site is to help teachers to integrate online teaching and learning strategies as part of hybrid, hy-flex, or longer-term fully online instruction. The site consists of a series of online resources and micro-credentials (i.e., digital badges) to assist teachers in learning to design effective online learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of their learners. The materials developed by the project are free-to-use, but individuals interested in obtaining one or more of the available certificates must register and pay of a modest fee to receive the certificate. While designed specifically for Indiana teachers, anyone interested in online and blended teaching and learning may find the materials to be of use.
