Edpuzzle is a web-based video tool that allows teachers to create a new video from scratch or by editing existing web-based video. Using this tool, teachers can create interactive content by inserting other footage, voiceover, and quiz questions to video, and track students’ progress in real-time. Videos developed on Edpuzzle can be embedded on a website or shared on social media via links. Edpuzzle is compatible with most learning management systems (LMS) and video conferencing tools. This tool offers three different plans: Basic (free), Pro Teacher (paid), and Schools & Districts plan.
Edpuzzle helps teachers to create interactive and student-centered videos. Teachers can choose content from the curriculum library, which is a collection of videos organized by content area, or upload their own or re-use a video lesson created by another teacher. Using Edpuzzle, teachers can add questions or quizzes, so students can answer them while watching the video, insert hyperlinks to watch or read information from other sources, and leave audio or written comments for students in different parts of the video. In response to questions in the video, students can record or write their answers. Through an Edpuzzle search, teachers can find high-quality videos from YouTube, Khan Academy, TED Talks, and Vimeo to create their educational videos. Before uploading any content that may be protected by copyright to Edpuzzle, make sure you have the right to do so, either because fair use applies or because you obtained explicit permission from the author. EdPuzzle has a zero-tolerance policy for copyright violations.
